We tried $50 Japanese strawberries, grown in NYC. Everyone knows Japan is chock full of incredibly high quality yet outrageously expensive fruit, like the famous white strawberry, often found in luxury department stores. So a few months ago I found about a company in America that’s growing Japanese strawberries in New Jersey (?!?!), used to supply some of the top restaurants in NYC. I got on the waitlist and BAM, today we had the chance to experience the best strawberries money can buy in the United States! We sampled this delicious Japanese fruit ourselves and then took it to the streets to let total strangers try as well!
